    Michigan Minecraft Meetup

Kidpreneur is happy to sponsor the Michigan Minecraft Meetup (M3). The M3 is a place for serious Minecraft-gamers to network, share knowledge, collaborate new projects and/or create a startup. The event starts with a networking session, then a presentation about the topic of choice by one or more members and then an open forum to discuss everything Minecraft.

The mission is to have members learn and share knowledge about Minecraft. There will be a $5 fee for members to attend which pays for the monthly meetup maintenance and unlimited access to the meetup Minecraft server. Parents can bring their children for free but they must stay with the child throughout the event. If more than one child wants access to the server, then parents must pay for each additional access.

You must register in advance www.meetup.com/Minecraft-Meetup .

    Kidpreneur® at Detroit Design Festival
Henry Ford Academy: School of Creative Studies - 485 Milwaukee Ave, Detroit, MI 48202

Detroit Design Festival is North America's Festival of Independent Design.

Kidpreneur® will be taking part in the 2014 Detroit Design Festival, Youth Innovation Center. We will be exhibiting and providing free 1-hr game design, coding and Minecraft workshops throughout the day. In addition, there will be 3-hr workshops to teach kids how to build their own Minecraft server and create their own Flappy Bird video game. Kids must register in advance for the 3-hr workshops.

The workshops will be FREE and take place at the Henry Ford Academy for the Creative Studies' gymnasium on Saturday, September 27th from 10am - 4pm. The DDF Youth Innovation Center will feature a variety of workshops, demonstrations, and interactive experiences from local makerspaces, youth collectives and more. These activities are geared toward a younger audience of creatives, ages 5-16.

The goal at the Youth Innovation Center is not only to provide an environment for kids to express their creativity in an open capacity, but also to teach them about the many practical applications that design has in the professional world.
