Kidpreneur® will be taking part of the 2014 Detroit Design Festival, Youth Innovation Center. We will be exhibiting and providing free 1-hr game design, coding and Minecraft workshops throughout the day. In addition, there will be 3-hr workshops to teach kids how to build their own Minecraft server and create their own Flappy Bird video game. Kids must register in advance for the 3-hr workshops.

The workshops will be taking place at the Henry Ford Academy for the Creative Studies' gymnasium on Saturday, September 27th from 10am - 4pm. The DDF Youth Innovation Center will feature a variety of workshops, demonstrations, and interactive experiences from local makerspaces, youth collectives and more. These activities are geared toward a younger audience of creatives, ages 5-16.

The goal at the Youth Innovation Center is not only to provide an environment for kids to express their creativity in an open capacity, but also to teach them about the many practical applications that design has in the professional world.
